Our Craft

Restoration, start to finish.

Body, mechanical, paint and trim — the four trades a proper restoration needs, and the work Beach Boy keeps in-house.

Some cars come in for a full ground-up restoration. Others come in for one thing done well — a respray, an engine, a new interior. Beach Boy takes on both, and the standard does not change between them.

Full restoration

Frame-off, ground-up

The complete job — the car stripped to bare metal and built back up, panel by panel, system by system, until it is whole again.

  • Strip-down, rust repair and metalwork
  • Mechanical, electrical and paint brought together
  • Documented stage by stage, start to finish

Mechanical & engine

Engines, drivetrain, brakes

Rebuilds and repairs that make a classic dependable again — engine, gearbox, suspension and brakes, sorted properly.

  • Engine and transmission rebuilds
  • Brakes, steering and running gear
  • Tuning and road-testing until it is right

Paint & bodywork

Panel, colour & chrome

Straight panels and a finish with real depth — rust cut out, gaps set true, colour laid down the way the car deserves.

  • Rust repair, panel and metal fabrication
  • Block-sanding and a deep, even finish
  • Chrome and brightwork brought back

Interior & upholstery

Leather, trim & soft-tops

The cabin made right again — leather and trim, headliners, dashboards and soft-tops. The same hands trim boat and marine interiors.

  • Leather, vinyl and carpet upholstery
  • Headliners, soft-tops and door cards
  • Dashboards, gauges and woodwork

Beyond cars, the same upholstery and trim hands take on boat and marine interiors — canvas, soft-tops and cabin work.

How we work

The way the work is done.

Honest scope, written down

Before anything is agreed you get a clear written assessment — what the car needs, what it does not, and what it will cost.

Period-correct finishes

Cars are restored the way they left the factory — correct colours, materials and details — unless you ask for something else.

Documented as it goes

Stages are photographed and shared, so you can see the work happening and the car is never a mystery.
